Top Two Fall in Week 13 Shakeup

Week 13 in the APBL delivered a seismic jolt to the standings as both the No. 1 Yankees and No. 2 Braves suffered losses, tightening the top-tier race and bringing new energy to the playoff hunt. With five teams now sitting at 9-4, the pressure is mounting as we head into the back half of the regular season.

Top Dogs Dethroned

The Texas Rangers made the biggest statement of the week, stunning the Yankees 324–274 in a clash between two heavyweights. The loss ends the Yankees’ four-game winning streak and serves as a loud reminder that Texas belongs in the title conversation. With 324 points, the Rangers continue to show championship-caliber consistency.

Just as surprising was the Giants’ narrow 284–282 victory over the Braves. The defending champions have now won five of their last six and look to be finding their stride at the right time. Atlanta, meanwhile, has now dropped two of their last three as they try to regain early-season form.

Red Sox Demolish Jays in Blowout of the Year

The Boston Red Sox put together their most complete game of the season, crushing the Blue Jays 208–99 — the largest margin of victory of the year (109 points) and the lowest single-week point total by any team all season. Toronto has now dropped six straight, sliding out of contention after an encouraging start.
